Turner Valley is about 40 minutes southwest of Calgary. You have a number of options for getting here. Regardless of which route you choose the roadways are paved and in good condition all the way from Calgary to Turner Valley. We urge you to watch for wildlife on the road, and remember that winter driving conditions can affect highways outside of Calgary.

 

Highway 2/Okotoks Route

·        take Macleod Trail southbound and exit Calgary – Macleod Trail becomes Highway 2

·        continue south on Highway 2, take the well-marked turnoff to Okotoks

·        continue through Okotoks until you come to the junction with Highway 7

·        turn right and head west on Highway 7

·        you’ll come to the town of Black Diamond – proceed west straight through town and continue another 3 kilometers to the town of Turner Valley

·        you’ll come to a 4-way stop – turn right

·        the Flare & Derrick Community Hall is the first building on your right

 

Highway22/Millarville Route

·        take Macleod Trail southbound, then take the Marquis of Lorne Trail (Highway 22X) exit westbound

·        continue west on Highway 22X, watching for a sign indicating a major intersection/left turn to Millarville, Turner Valley, Black Diamond and Longview

·        turn left (south) onto Highway 22 and continue south

·        you’ll pass the village of Millarville

·        keep going until you reach the town of Turner Valley

·        Highway 22 becomes Main Street

·        continue south for about six blocks

·        the Flare & Derrick Community Hall is the last building on your left, directly opposite the Post Office

·        if you get to the 4-way stop you’ve gone too far – turn around and come back along Main Street
